“Warning: all the texts recited and sung in this performance are quotations from the Old Testament, as in the King James Bible of 1611.” Can a text from the sacred canon become a cubist musical with neo-Baroque choruses, beat-box raids and daringly edited effects? If it takes the form of the startling spectacle staged by this Austrian-based international collective, it can. This group of exuberant youngsters is convinced that the old sacred book is still an expression of creativity and idealism.
